Students' TV Debut

Students at our Lincoln Street site take part in a Daily Press
TV commercial about the paper going to an all-color format.

The kids were asked to color in special pictures from the newspaper as part of the Daily Press coloring contest, then hold their work up for the camera and say "color!"

Their cute colorings (and faces) played on TV stations around the area for several weeks,
and one of our students even won the contest!

Mother's Day Celebrations

Ms. Basley's class treated their mothers to a formal affair,
where each child placed a crown on Mom's head and
escorted her over a red carpet.

Fine young ladies and gentlemen (yet still 4-year-olds!)
prepare for their tea party.

Mother-child dancing!

Mrs. Dryden's class created bronzed shoes (planted with a rose!) for their mothers.

One lucky boy had his great-grandmother in attendance!

Ms. Harrison's class held a luau for their moms.

Who needs hula when you can get down with your Mommy?

Ms. Rice's class also had a luau,
and each mom got a lei as she arrived.

The class performs a song.

In Ms. Foard's class, the mobile infant room,
delicious treats were enjoyed by all!

Next door in the infant room, our newest
mommies got down on the floor to play with their babies.

Father's Day Celebrations

Ms. Dell's class at our Battle Road site was one of several classes to host a "Donuts for Dads" breakfast

One lucky girl was joined by her doting grandfather!

The kids whose dads couldn't make it that morning
teamed up to share the available fathers. Dancing and
jumping were enjoyed by all!

In addition to group fun, one-on-one time with Daddy
also made the morning special.

Independence Day Parade, Battle Road

Ms. Dell and Ms. Augustus get their toddlers
ready to make some noise.

The procession begins!

Our 4-year-olds prove that louder really is better.

The 2-year-old class made their own
Uncle Sam hats for the occasion.

Our infant classes lead the cheerful display.

The procession goes curbside for a bit of stationary music.

The excitement is palpable as these 3-year-olds shake their musicmakers.

Our 3-year-olds use different instruments to make
an identically boisterous sound.

Popcicles and 2-year-old boys: a winning combination.

The girls were just as intent on devouring their patriotic pops.

Our lead drummer and her crew take a popcicle break.
