Birthday Royalty!

Decorating and wearing a birthday crown is the
highlight of celebrating your birthday in Ms. Dryden's
class . . . unless, of course, your mom brings cupcakes!

A proud birthday girl sports her official crown
as she turns the ripe old age of 4!

Valentine's Day at Shell Road Site

Valentine's Day festivities at our Shell Road site!

Many students celebrated the day wearing red- and
heart-themed clothing (some did both!).

Valentine's Day is a great opportunity to talk to our students about caring for one another and showing love for our families!

A childhood classic! Students create special mailboxes for receiving their valentines.

Sharing and giving are an inherent part of Valentine's Day!

For one afternoon, we take a break from nutritious foods
and enjoy sweet treats!

St. Patrick 's Day at Battle Road Site

St. Patrick's Day at Battle Road.

Ms. Basley's class makes shamrock art.

A cute little leprechaun from Ms. Harrison's class!

Ms. Harrison gives her 3-year-olds foam shapes to create
St. Patrick's Day collages.

Virginia Living Museum visits

4-year-olds from our Shell Road site proved they were
as "curious & intelligent" as coyotes!

Our Lincoln Street children show their
enthusiasm for the museum!

Kids from our Battle Road site take
an exciting bus ride to the museum.

Something's fishy here!

Hands-on learning is the best kind!

So this is what it's like to be a turtle!

We're not scared of snakes!

The whole crew!

Springtime Celebrations at Battle Road

The Easter Bunny visits, along with his "assistant" from the Hampton Sheriff's Office, who brought a stuffed rabbit for each child!

Some very excited 4-year-olds receive their bunnies
from the big bunny himself.

This group was NOT shy with the Easter Bunny!

Somebunny special!

The only child from our youngest classes who was willing to get near the Easter Bunny---and he did so with a full-out dance and then went in for a hug!

Springtime party in Ms. Basley's class.

1-year-olds in Mrs. Dell's class dye eggs together!

"I wonder if these colors are fruit flavored!"

A very captive audience!

Our 4-year-olds display their homemade baskets
and hand-dyed eggs.

The 1- to 2-year-old classes had their own egg hunt. The tinier ones got a helping hand from the adults!

"I found it myself!"
