Mayor's Book Club

DHCDC is fortunate to take part in this Hampton program, where prominent officials and business leaders come read a story to the children, and each child gets his or her own copy of the book to keep. To learn more, visit the Mayor's Book Club website.


Hampton Mayor Molly Ward reads to classes at our Shell Road site. Each child received a copy of the Dr. Seuss book
"The Sneetches."


Hampton Police Chief Chuck Jordan presents
each child in Ms. Basley's and Ms. Rice's classes with
a copy of "The Mitten" after reading the story aloud.
