NAEYC Accreditation

• NAEYC (pronounced "nay-see") stands for the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

• NAEYC accreditation of programs for young children represents the mark of quality in early childhood education

• Fewer than 10% of early childhood programs in the country are nationally accredited by NAEYC

• Downtown Hampton Child Development Center was the first program on the Peninsula to be accredited, and remains among only a handful of centers here to carry the seal.

OUR CURRENT STATUS WITH NAEYC
Our Lincoln Street location has carried our official NAEYC accreditation for many years,
and we have used the same programming at our other sites. But we are now in the process of gaining accreditation specifically at our Mary Peak location. Below is a chart of our progress toward that goal:
